Do you feel a pressure in the forehead or on the top or sides of your head, a sudden massive headache popping out from nowhere. This could be a tension headache. It may start with something as simple as a clenched jaw, which then makes other muscles in the area stiff and creates tension. Massage can help you get rid of the headache and regular massage sessions may well help in keeping it from coming back. There are even some self-massage techniques that you could find in doing some research on the internet. Some of my clients have come in for a head and face massage after experiencing headaches for several days. They leave the massage session feeling better, with less tension. For some, the headaches go away during the session and for others the next day they text me to say that the headache is gone. That is one of the reasons I really enjoy providing massages.
